Experience

I have been self-employed for 20 years. I practised at The Haven clinic in North West London for over 5 years and spent a year in Cyprus, where I was the Acupuncturist and Tui Na therapist at the highly acclaimed luxury spa hotel Anassa. I also practised Acupuncture at an Osteopath Clinic in Pafos. For 5 years, I worked in private clinics in Norway and the Middle East. I have been working at The Wants Hants Club since I moved to Bournemouth in 2015.

About me

The last 20 years I have worked alongside Chiropractors, Osteopaths and Physiotherapists in Norway, England, Cyprus and the Middle East, learning a great deal from very committed therapists. Over the years I have treated patients with a wide range of issues, from MSK, menopausal issues, depression, migraines, dizziness, Post-stroke rehab, Bells Palsy, to PTSD, to mention a few. I have found that combining TCM acupuncture with sports massage/Tui Na, cupping and moxa, if deemed appropriate for that person, greatly helps to speed up the healing. I passionately believe that the holistic approach of addressing all parts of a person, not just the physical manifestations of symptoms, is the best way forward in achieving optimum health. I believe that every person is unique, therefore two people with the same diagnosis may receive different acupuncture/massage treatments. The focus is on the underlying cause of disease and all the symptoms are seen in relation to each other, so when using acupuncture I will treat all presenting symptoms at the same time.

What would you do if you had 2 days paid to rest and recuperate?

Go for long walks in the mountains with my husband and our dog (in Norway where I grew up) or long walks by the sea.
