One-to-one pilates sessions and classes
Whether you'd prefer the focus of a one-to-one session or the energy of a small group class, we offer both. Our one-to-one sessions give you dedicated time with your Pilates instructor, who is also a qualified physiotherapist, working at your own pace and around what your body needs at each stage of pregnancy or postnatal recovery. Our group classes are small by design, with no more than three participants to one physiotherapist, and every participant works to their own individual programme, because what your body needs at 28 weeks pregnant is rarely the same as the person on the reformer next to you.
Booking a pilates session
Before attending your first session, you'll need to book an initial assessment with one of our Women’s Health physiotherapists so we can get to know you and create an individual Pilates plan that’s safe and reflects the stage you’re at.

- Find a physiotherapist Each clinician is chosen for their expertise, their specialism, and the difference they make.

Pilates tailored to your body, wherever you are.
Pregnancy asks a great deal of the body, and postnatal recovery brings its own set of demands. Your posture, pelvic floor, balance, and joints all shift during pregnancy, and afterwards your abdominal muscles and pelvic floor need time and the right support to rebuild. Pilates, with the right guidance, helps with all of that, keeping you strong and connected to your body through every stage.

FAQs
Yes. Before attending your first class or session, you'll need to book an initial assessment with one of our Women’s Health physiotherapists. This is so we can get to know you, find out how your pregnancy is progressing or how your postnatal recovery is going, and create an individual Pilates programme that’s safe and reflects the stage you’re at. It means that when you come into class, everything is already tailored to you.
We recommend waiting until at least six weeks postnatal before starting Pilates. If you've had a caesarean section or a more complex birth, we'd generally suggest waiting a little longer, but your physiotherapist will advise on the right timing for you your initial assessment.
Yes. Our classes are suitable for all three trimesters, and our instructors are physiotherapists who understand the physical changes each stage brings and the modifications that keep you safe and comfortable. If you have a high-risk pregnancy or specific medical concerns, please let us know when you book and check with your midwife or healthcare provider beforehand.
Our classes are led by physiotherapists rather than Pilates instructors alone, which means the guidance you receive is clinically informed and specific to the demands of pregnancy and postnatal recovery. Classes are kept small, with a maximum of three participants to one physiotherapist, and every participant works to their own individual programme, because what your body needs in pregnancy or postnatal recovery is rarely the same as the person next to you.
Our pregnancy Pilates classes focus on posture, balance, flexibility, and strength, with particular attention to abdominal and pelvic floor health. The aim is to support the physical changes pregnancy brings, ease discomfort, and keep you as strong and mobile as possible through every trimester.
Yes, in most cases. Pelvic girdle pain is something our physiotherapists are experienced in working with, and your individual programme will be adapted accordingly. Your initial assessment is the right place to discuss what you're experiencing so your clinician can make sure the classes are appropriate and helpful for you specifically.
