Pilates and classes
Where pilates helps
-
Core weakness
When your core isn't doing its job, the rest of the body compensates, and that's usually when things start to ache. Pilates rebuilds that foundation properly.
-
Pregnancy and postnatal recovery
Pilates keeps you strong through every trimester and supports your body as it recovers after birth, at the right pace and with the right guidance.
-
Back pain
A lot of back pain comes down to how the body is moving and supporting itself. Pilates addresses that at the root, building the strength and control that keeps it gone.
-
Injury rehabilitation
Returning to movement after injury needs to be done carefully and progressively. Our physiotherapist-led classes make sure it is.
Movement is medicine
Whether you'd prefer the focus of a one-to-one session or the energy of a small group class, we offer both. Our one-to-one sessions give you dedicated time with your Pilates instructor, who is also a qualified physiotherapist, working entirely at your own pace and around your specific needs. Our group classes are small by design, with no more than three participants to one physiotherapist, and every participant works to their own individual programme rather than a shared one.
Our Pilates classes are led by physiotherapists and specialist instructors who understand the body. Every class is designed to build core strength, improve posture and develop the control and flexibility needed to move well and stay injury-free.
Booking your pilates session
Before attending your first session, you'll need to book an initial assessment with one of our Women’s Health physiotherapists so we can get to know you and create an individual Pilates plan that’s safe and reflects the stage you’re at.

Pregnancy and postnatal pilates
Pilates can be one of the best things you can do for your body during pregnancy and in the months that follow. The key is doing it safely and at the right pace, which is why all our Pilates instructors are also qualified physiotherapists who listen, learn, and curate personalised pilates sessions around what your body actually needs.

Equipment pilates classes
There's a moment in Pilates, usually a few weeks in, when a movement that used to take real effort just starts to feel like yours. That's the moment every session here is quietly built towards.

FAQs
Your first appointment involves a thorough assessment of your condition. Your physiotherapist will take a detailed history, assess your movement and any relevant tests, and discuss a plan for your treatment and rehabilitation.
Treatment duration depends on your specific condition, how long you have had it and your goals. Your physiotherapist will give you a realistic timeline after your initial assessment.
Home exercises are a key part of most physiotherapy programmes. Your physiotherapist will prescribe exercises appropriate to your condition and ensure you know how to perform them correctly.
