Experience

9 years service in the British Army / Pitch-side physiotherapist at Step 7 level / New grad physiotherapist.

About me

Before joining SixPhysio I spent 9 years in the British Army as a non-commissioned officer working in various roles and achieving the rank of Corporal. I transitioned into healthcare to pursue a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, gaining broad clinical experience through placements across orthopaedic, paediatric, neurological, respiratory, and MSK settings. These placements were completed within private practice, charity, and NHS sectors, developing a patient-centred approach to assessment and rehabilitation. Alongside academic study I gained additional qualifications in Sports Massage, Kinesiology Taping, and Athletic Strapping and Taping, supporting my personal interests in manual therapy, sports injury management and rehabilitation. My post-graduation experience includes working as a Healthcare Assistant at a care home supporting individuals with a range of physical and cognitive needs and within a private school completing primary injury assessments and contributing to multidisciplinary care delivery. Alongside full-time employment I worked as a pitch-side physiotherapist for a step 7 football team conducting acute injury assessment and management, before completing formal training in sports trauma management.
