I recently sprained my ankle playing football a few weeks ago. I went to a&e and doctor said it was a grade 2 sprain. Now my ankle is still swollen but i think its due to scar tissue as its hard. The inside ankle ligament aIso hurts when i try running. I was wondering if i needed a sports massage or the physio ?

Hi Adrian If you've got a grade II ankle sprain then you need to be taking it relatively easy for at least a good few more weeks - especially twisting movements, change of direction and forced end of ankle range stuff, like kicking. If you do too much too soon you could potentially delay full healing as you keep over stretching and over loading healing tissue. So to see exactly where you are and what you need I see a Physio and not a SM. The Guru
