Hello Guru, My GP has diagnosed an arm problem as tennis elbow.  She also says there is nothing to be done apart from avoiding movements that hurt and waiting for it to get better which could take up to a year! Is there really nothing that can be done? Many thanks Alison

Oh dear - what truly terrible advice from your GP! Most tennis elbows aren't actually anything to do with your elbow, 70% are neck and nerve related issues, rather than true tendon related, elbow pain. It can be relatively simple to differentiate the 2 and depending on what's causing what, "tennis elbow" does improve with good, decent physical intervention. Go see someone decent and get on the road to recovery. Good luck The Guru
