I've had a bruising sensation on the top of my right foot for the past week.
I haven't dropped anything on top of it and it is painful when I put pressure on my foot.
Any idea what could cause this pain?
Thanks for your help.

Hi Katherine
Most common thing is having shoes which are too tight - they compress a small cutaneous (skin) nerve.
When you load up your foot or pole it, it splays slightly and compresses the already miffed of nerve giving you the sensation.
Give it a good couple of weeks to allow the nerve to settle, try to avoid too much compression through the top of your foot....tricky with some type of footwear.
