John asked The Guru for the following Physiotherapy Advice: I've got a pain in my knee after running for 5 mins. It feels like its under my kneecap and I have to stop running when it comes on. My knee doesn't swell but it aches afterwards. Can you tell me what exercises to do to make it better? Thanks for your help. John

Hi John Sounds as if you've got an issue with the way your knee cap tracks over the front of your thigh. Have a look at these on The Runners World injury clinic videos http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/health/ especially the gluteus strengthening (is actually stability!) and foam rolling ITB.
