I have developed a sharp pain at the junction of the right shoulder and neck. It is quite acute when I move the neck towards the left or right. What's worrying is that I have developed pimples along the right neck muscle as well and those pimples or bumps spread from the base of the neck to the base of the skull.

Hi Munashe This could be a really simple issue where you have inadvertently over stretched your neck because your thoracic spine is relatively too stiff. When you move your head you over stretch the over stretched bit and it's painful - simple answer get your thoracic spine moving better and control the joint play on your neck. It might be shingles, which is a virus that sits around a nerve route and is pretty painful. It classically "follows" the route the nerve takes through the skin and might be worth dropping in to see your doc to have this looked at. It clears up with time but you can use some creams that may help with the pain... The Guru
