Taping is only a pain reliever – simple as that regardless of what the research supposedly says…

Taping is only as effective as the person who is putting on the tape. They’re are plenty of clips showing how to tape. Truth is you need to use the right taping technique for the right thing, not just any tape for everything.

The one rule is that is once you’ve slapped some tape on you it must improve your symptoms or feels as if you’ve got better control (feels sturdier) immediately. There is no magic time delay.

The one exception to the above rules and that’s if you’re using tape to stop excessive movement – like sprained ankles or twisted knees. This is generally a rigid tape and it does exactly that. Stays stiff to protect joints to allow tissue to heal.
