Working background
I’ve spent a majority of my career working for the NHS where I completed my junior core rotations and moved into a role as a specialist physiotherapist in hand therapy. Here I discovered my love for treating hand conditions including acute trauma, surgical and long term conditions.
Hand therapy is a niche area, and generally people don’t know much about it until they have hand injury or hand pain which prevents them doing hobbies, sports and general daily activities. I am a Registered Practitioner with BAPAM, enabling me to assist Performing Arts professionals in getting back to what they do best.
It is highly rewarding to be a part of clients journey back to a full recovery, whether that is use of exercise and education, splinting to immobilise the painful joints, or post operative wound and scar care to name a few!
