Working background
My work experience included taster days at local hospitals and shadowing in private clinics across Poole and Bournemouth. After working in private practice in Bournemouth I moved to a sports injury clinic in Eastleigh where I trained in instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilisation and video-assisted biomechanical assessments. I led regular workshops on foam rolling and supervised group rehabilitation in a private gym setting alongside my regular day to day of assessing and treating injuries.
I then joined BWT Physio which involved working in the community, leading disability and neuro rehabilitation classes, sports massage, gym-based strength and conditioning, shockwave and laser therapy, injury assessment and treatment, and I continued to expand my gait analysis service for runners. After a few years I underwent further training in diagnostic ultrasound and have been developing my skill set ever since.
