Hello, I'm not sure this is a physio issue, BUT.. I had a baby two years ago by c-section. I was a keen runner before. I was signed off to return to running by a physio after six months, and a number of exercises to reduce my tummy 'gap'. I'm running the Marathon in ten days, and training has gone very well. However over the past week or so, I've developed a pain in what I think is my pelvic floor. It's like a nagging ache, feels like a bit of an internal 'pull' when I stand on one leg or move sideways (so generally fine when just walking around, although the thud thud thud of running does make it ache). Can I still run? I've never had any pelvic floor problems - no incontinence or anything. And it's not major pain - I can make it disappear with two ibuprofen, but not sure if running 26.2 is going to do me a mischief! Is this something I should see a physio about?

Hi Julia I think the answer is yes - in all instances! Pelvic floor and needing to see a Physio [pelvic floor physiotherapy]. I'm going to forward this to my specialist Women's Heath Physio for her opinion. Milly will be in touch shortly. The Guru Six Physio
