Karen qualified as a registered osteopath in 1992 and I spent the next few years in practice, working in Sussex and then in New Zealand. On returning to the UK, she studied for a master’s degree in Public Health and then worked in a variety of health and wellbeing roles.
Karen subsequently decided that she would like to return to hands-on therapy and so completed her level 3 & 4 massage qualification, to learn new skills. Since qualifying, she has specialised in remedial massage and soft tissue therapy, using a holistic approach.
Karen’s aim is to help patients with relaxing soft tissues massage to improve mobility and function and reduce pain. Remedial massage can be very beneficial in the treatment of conditions such as muscular tension related to posture, lifestyle factors, stress, chronic neck/back pain, or repetitive strain injury.

Working background
I qualified as a registered osteopath in 1992 and I spent the next few years in practice, working in Sussex and then in Napier, New Zealand. On returning to the UK, I studied for a masters degree in Public Health and I then worked in a variety of health and wellbeing roles.
My main areas of interest include; weight management, physical activity and lifestyle behaviour change. I find it very rewarding to help people make positive changes towards a healthier lifestyle, which can be challenging for anyone to do! I subsequently decided I would like to return to hands-on therapy and so I studied for a combined level 3 & 4 sports massage qualification, to learn new skills. My aim is to help people with a holistic approach, combining massage therapy with my health and wellbeing knowledge and experience.
