With over 20 years experience, we are the perfect bridge between your painful back, stiff shoulder or dodgy knee and being back to full function and happily managing your symptoms.

What is Physiotherapy?

What does a Physiotherapist do?
Physiotherapists assess an issue within the musculoskeletal system and decide on an appropriate treatment plan to help reduce the symptoms, allowing the patient to resume normal activity. Treatment usually involves manual therapy alongside rehabilitation exercises to improve the symptoms. The physiotherapist will make treatment plans individualised to allow patients to reach their goals.
Are Physios doctors?
No physiotherapists are not doctors however they work closely with doctors to ensure holistic and most appropriate care.
What to wear to a Physio appointment?
Wearing something you are comfortable to move around in and also to easily expose the injured area is helpful.
How long is a Physio appointment?
Ranging between 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on if this is a follow up or a new patient assessment. Your physiotherapist can discuss this with you at your first appointment.
Can a Physio help arthritis?
Yes, physiotherapy can help with painful or stiff arthritic joints through advice, education and exercises to help improve the range of motion and strength of the joint. This reduces symptoms of arthritis.
Can a Physio help sciatica?
Yes, physiotherapy can help to diagnose sciatica and then create an appropriate treatment plan to reduce sciatic pain, restoring full movement and allowing patients to return to activity after an episode of sciatic pain. Physiotherapy can also help to reduce future flare up’s of sciatica.
Can a Physio help neck pain?
Pain in the neck can be alleviated via manual therapy and exercises following careful assessment from a physiotherapist. Neck pain is a very common condition treated by physiotherapists.
Can a physio help back pain?
Back pain is another common condition treated by physiotherapists as many of the population suffer from lower back pain. Through the right exercises, advice and education lower back pain can improve with physiotherapy. Physiotherapists help to get you the right education and information about your back pain so reduce anxiety and worry that understandably comes with episodes of back pain. Sometimes manual therapy for back pain is used to help resolve symptoms quicker. Physios can also help to assess ergonomic setups which can help to reduce lower back pain.

How much does a Physio cost?
There can often be a range of prices for a physiotherapy consultation depending on the area you are in and the experience of the physiotherapist. It can range from £92-£107 for 30min follow-up appointments.
Should I see a private physiotherapist?
Private physiotherapists have the skills and expertise to treat your musculoskeletal injury. Private physiotherapy includes an individualised approach to reducing symptoms. An additional benefit is that there limited / small wait times for appointments so patients can be seen and start improving ASAP.
