Working background
My 13 years experience in the NHS was so valuable to my development. I started in operating theatres working as a theatre support worker which involved helping set up equipment and helping assist the scrub practitioner. I was always fascinated with how people got on with operations post op which led me down the path to becoming a therapy technician working on helping rehabilitate people post surgery on wards in trauma and orthopaedic. I have spent the last few years learning about rehabilitation with people who have have neurological conditions and have set up my own walking football club for people with Parkinson’s which has been the most rewarding thing I have ever done!
