Working background
I graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Physiotherapy and was awarded the Contribution to Physiotherapy Award. I began my career within the NHS as a Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapist, developing a strong foundation in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.
Working within a self-referral service exposed me to a diverse patient population, strengthening my clinical reasoning, assessment, and decision-making skills. I later worked as a Healthcare Assessor, evaluating how health conditions affect daily living and ensuring individuals received appropriate support to promote recovery, independence, and quality of life.
I have completed additional training in ESCAPE-pain programmes for knee, hip, and spinal conditions and am a qualified Clinical Educator.
I have also gained physiotherapy experience within sport through both personal and professional involvement, including working as the physiotherapist for a men’s Premier League hockey team. This role involved supporting injury rehabilitation, facilitating safe return to sport, and helping individuals return to the activities that matter most to them.
