Working background
I am an experienced Senior Hand Therapist with over 15 years in the NHS, working across plastics, MSK outpatients, community rehabilitation, and acute care. I currently work within the Plastics Hand Therapy Team at Salisbury District Hospital, treating complex trauma, tendon and nerve repairs, fractures, elective procedures, and paediatric conditions. Previously, at University Hospitals Dorset, I managed a varied hand therapy caseload including elective orthopaedics, trauma, rheumatology, and neurological splinting. Earlier in my career, I specialised in community-based neurological upper limb rehabilitation and splinting.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southampton and a PGCert in Professional Practice from Bournemouth University. Registered with HCPC and RCOT, and a BAHT member, I have completed multiple BAHT Level 2 courses. I have also lectured at the Health Sciences University on hand therapy and, in 2024, contributed to the BSSH & BAHT project in Malawi, supporting the development of an independent hand therapy service.
