Persistent back pain

Hello, I’m messaging on behalf of my younger brother who is living in London.
He is experiencing persistent bad back pain and has tried going to physio and also osteopath, the latter recommended he go to Pilates classes but having lived in London myself and gone to many a class in my time, I found most Pilates classes to be more fitness/workout orientated rather than attentive to individual bodies and imbalances.
I live in Ireland and went to a neuromuscular activation therapist called Beverly Porrino who i found to be brilliant and really effective. She recommended one of your team David Donne to me for my brother. Is he also a practitioner of neuromuscular activation? I see it says sports massage therapist on his profile.
I’d really appreciate any help or advice on this.
All the best,
Aisling Walsh

Hi Aisling
David is great and actually teaches on some muscle energy courses, which is similar to NMA – I’m sure he’d be a good choice.
Having a read all of your comments it make me suspect that he’s actually got an issue with his cervical spine which is referring pain into his thoracic spine – hence if the painful areas have been treated and he feels the same then I’d suspect that the cause of his symptoms may have been over looked….
