Every now and then i get acute spondylosis pain in my neck and upper left lats triggered by heavy weight lifting at the gym.

I need immediate relief

Well, if it’s “only now and then” be sensible give it a few days and you’ll be feeling much better.

If you really want to find a much longer term, normal solution then don’t expect immediate results.

First up looks at your form – it can’t be right. You’re strengthening some muscles but allowing others to weaken as the quality of what you do is being over ridden by quantity.

Second, improve (as always) your thoracic mobility – the more you have, the better your form.

And finally do some work which is stability, low load based work which’ll allow you to lift more, and possibly give a little on your form.

Start today and you’ll be good tomorrow – not immediate, but it’s a start.
