Working background
With over 11 years of NHS and private practice experience Louise has a special clinical interest in women’s and men’s Pelvic Health. Louise has experience in musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy, Women’s and Men’s Health and Obstetric & Post-natal Physiotherapy. She is an affiliate member of the Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapists (POGP) Society.
In 2021, Louise took on the role of joint Pelvic Health team lead at University Hospitals Dorset (UHD), managing the Pelvic Health Team at Christchurch. Louise attends regular Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings for urogynaecology and colorectal pelvic floor patients. Louise has successfully developed the service through the addition of a joint colorectal clinic with the consultants at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital & Christchurch Hospital. At present, she is developing a self-manage pessary service within pelvic health physiotherapy at UHD.
By adding both Colorectal pelvic floor and Men’s Health physiotherapy to her practice, Louise is able to treat both men and women; assessing, treating and managing many pelvic pain conditions and symptoms.
