When a patient achieves their goal, we’ve achieved our goal too
And the icing on the cake… receiving thank you emails. Congratulations to all those who completed @London Marathon in our mini heatwave!
“Just a quick note to say that I completed the marathon in 4.03 hours yesterday. If it hadn’t been for you, Rachel, I would 100% have dropped out so I just wanted to say thank you so so much!!! I now feel absolutely crippled and suffering from heat stroke but very proud to have done it.”
“Alan and Anna, thank you!! 100% – you got me through this. Had a fantastic run, really good first half – legs cramped up post 15 mile which made it harder. The heat took it out of us. But all in all amazing experience! Legs very sore today! Will be in touch.”
“Such an amazing experience, and everything held together! 4.52 in that heat well chuffed. Rachel, the running techniques really came into play, using those glutes when I thought my hamstring was going to cramp. I hope it went well for you too”
“Thank you both so much (Chris & Hayley) I got round in 4:03 and NO knee trouble I can’t even thank you both enough!
But its not all about London… some of our patients completed the Brighton marathon last weekend:
“Chris and Hayley, Just to let you know that I could complete the marathon pain free….. I am very happy because I could complete the race under 4 hours (3:53). I will now try to focus on the exercises that Hayley advised to improve my technique.”
Thanks to Toby: “Just to let you know that everything was amazing in the marathon and I run without much pain and I finished it under 4hours (3:44′:35”). Not too bad for my first marathon, I guess. Thanks a lot for your effort and motivation.”
The thank yous keep flooding in over the week…
For Hayley
“It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, I managed 20 good miles however pulled up and staggered the final 6. Considering 4 weeks ago I couldn’t even walk up the stairs I think 20 miles isn’t bad at all!”
“Thank you for your advice! I had to start walking after 25km because of tiredness, but not because of injury :)”
“A month ago my knee pain had be limping and unable to run. I really thought i’d have to pull out. Today, I ran the marathon pain free and got a PB!! I cannot thank you enough for your expertise and encouragement; I couldn’t have managed it without you!!”
For Rachel, Running Guru extraordinaire!
“Thanks again to both you and Dan for your great work in getting me back on the mend quickly and improving my technique… I tried to keep my cool and running form and ended up running 3hr 39m 22s!!!! I am so pleased!”
“THANK YOU for all your help! I had a great time running (super warm) Paris marathon and my leg was absolutely pain free – yay!!!”
For Neil, recently joined the team at Leadenhall & one of our Running Gurus
“‘I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all your help and advice- I got round! Just over 5 hours. My legs were actually fine and they are weirdly ok today?! I’m looking at doing another in September so will keep up the strength work. “
