aris asked The Guru for the following Physiotherapy Advice:
I am an athlete speacialising in sprinting and I have muscle pains in both legs in my inner thighs, I think it may be my adductors but I am not sure. I feel I need confirmation on what the problem is and if you can possibly treat it. How much do you charge for your services?

Hi Paris
Very rarely “just” because of a single group if muscles. There is normally a reason as to why, and that’s the bit that needs to be sorted. Do this and the symptoms (the muscle bit!) go.
Likely causes are poor local pelvic stability patterns due to strong muscles pulling on your pelvic bones that you can’t control.
We need to get you on a treadmill and see how you move and hopefully show you what you doing and what needs to be done to correct it.
We’re covered by all insurance companies, but check with them if you are going to use them. Our initial hour consultation and treatment is £78. We’ve got great sports Physios in all clinics.
Let me know if you’d like to be booked in at a clinic near to you.
