Alex has been stretching his back but the Guru says to focus on stability and control

I have a small deviation to the right after hurting my back.

It gets better with exercise and stretching. Should I just continue or do I need manipulation?

Hi Alex

If only you could click a joint back into place! Many say you can – as that’s what they do, but you can’t – joints don’t just fall out of place….and if they do there would have been more trauma than you could throw an ambulance at!

Your deviation sounds like a shift, where your body adapts to the pain to allow it to keep moving. The problem is it doesn’t really move very well – it’s just moves.

Stretching will make you feel better, but I doubt it’ll get you better.

Exercise, specific stuff for what you need i.e. control based stuff is exactly what you need. No strength, no stretch just control, stability and endurance.
