Supporting you through pregnancy and beyond
Pregnancy and postnatal recovery bring some of the biggest physical changes the body ever goes through. Back and pelvic pain, breastfeeding, the exhaustion of the early weeks, the uncertainty of not knowing when it's right to return to exercise, and sometimes all of it at once.
What women often tell us is that they wish they'd come sooner. That they'd been managing something for months, or been told it was normal when it didn't feel that way. Our team take the time to listen to how you're feeling, build a picture of what's actually going on, and shape a plan around what you need. A lot of women come to us wanting to get back to being active, to running or the gym or simply moving freely again, and that's exactly the kind of goal we build around. Whether you're eight weeks pregnant, eight weeks postnatal, or somewhere further along than either, you're in the right place.

Our services
We listen, understand, and empathise to ensure every patient feels heard.
-

Pregnancy massage
A little time that's entirely yours, before everything changes. Our pregnancy massage is safe, gentle, and designed around the particular demands each trimester places on the body.
-

Breastfeeding support
Breastfeeding may be natural, but it isn't always easy, and the gap between how you expected it to feel and how it actually feels can be a difficult one to sit with. We can work with your existing medical team with hands-on treatment and practical guidance for blocked ducts and mastitis, giving you the support that makes a real difference in those early weeks and beyond.
-

Pelvic floor physiotherapy
Pelvic floor issues are common and treatable, whether you're experiencing leaking, pressure, pain, or simply want to understand your body better, our team are here to help, with the kind of care that takes what you're going through seriously.
-

Pessary fitting
Pelvic organ prolapse affects around half of all women at some point in their lifetime, and yet it's one of the least talked about conditions we see. A pessary can make a significant difference to how you feel day to day, and our clinicians will take the time to make sure it's the right option for you, fitted carefully, and followed up properly.

Pregnancy and postnatal pilates
Pilates can be one of the best things you can do for your body during pregnancy and in the months that follow. The key is doing it safely and at the right pace, which is why all our Pilates instructors are also qualified physiotherapists who listen, learn, and curate personalised pilates sessions around what your body actually needs.

FAQs
As early as you need to. Some women come in the first trimester with pelvic girdle pain, others later to prepare for birth. We'd encourage every woman to come in for a postnatal check at six weeks, whether or not anything feels wrong, because it's often the point where things that have been quietly building become clearer and easier to address. But it's never too late, we see women a year or more after delivery and there's still a great deal we can do.
We see a wide range of pregnancy-related conditions including pelvic girdle pain, lower back pain, pubic symphysis dysfunction, rib and thoracic pain, and pelvic floor changes including leaking and pressure. We also support women with diastasis recti, both during pregnancy and in postnatal recovery, and work alongside midwives and obstetricians where that's helpful.
Your first appointment will be a thorough assessment of how your body is recovering. Your clinician will ask about your birth experience, how you're feeling physically, and what you'd like to get back to. Depending on what's brought you in, this may include an internal examination, though that's always explained clearly, carried out with care, and entirely your choice. You'll leave with a clear picture of where you are and a plan that's been shaped around you.
You can be seen postnatally from around six weeks after a vaginal birth, or six weeks after a caesarean section, though we'll always tailor the assessment and plan to where you are in your recovery. If you're experiencing significant pain or symptoms before that point, get in touch and we'll advise on the right next step.
Not at all. Pelvic floor physiotherapy is valuable during pregnancy too, whether you're experiencing symptoms or want to prepare your body for birth and recovery. Many women find that working on pelvic floor health during pregnancy makes a real difference to how they recover postnatally.
